Measuring 20 3/4" in length, the bark has been left on the underside and mouth end of this unsplit branch flute,
creating a nice contrast with the finely finished grain. Some of the crevices in the oak grain have been inlaid with turquoise
and turquoise nuggets have been added to the bird and to the American Bison lacing. The value is somewhat higher on this
branch flute due to the rarity of finding a straight enough coast live oak branch that can be bored out unsplit.
The branch was gathered from the wonderful oak woodland at Descanso Gardens.
