Canyon Wren
My call amazed
by canyon walls
cannot guide your
steps to me.
So soar
into my song, fresh
as a waterfall plucking
the colors
of it's rainbow mist.
Soar and I will sing
an August breeze
gentle to your wing.
My heart beats fast
at the thought
of your flight.
Quick! The soul
of this mountain
might not let you
find me! Fly on
if you're the one
and dance into
this breeze.
I cannot leave
my canyon cell
till the mountain
sands the seas.
