Canyon Wren

My call amazed
by canyon walls
cannot guide your
steps to me.
So soar
into my song, fresh
as a waterfall
plucking
the colors

of it's rainbow mist.
Soar and I will
sing
an August breeze
gentle to your wing

My heart beats fast
at the thought
of your
flight
Quick
!  The soul

of this mountain

might not let you

find me!   Fly on
if you're the one
and dance into
this breeze.
I cannot leave
my canyon cell

till the mountain
sands the
seas.
