All Acjachemen Social Gathering

Sunday, June 22,  12 – 5:00 pm

Location:  Cook’s Park, San Juan Capistrano, CA.  Address: 27998 Calle Arroyo, San Juan Capistrano Directions:  From 5 Fwy, exit Ortega Hwy. (Hwy. 74), go east.  Turn right onto La Novia (second traffic light). Turn left on Calle Arroyo.  All Acjachemen are encouraged to attend and bring their families and a favorite dish to share with others.  Bring chairs to relax and socialize with fellow Acjachemen and families.  There will be Storytelling for all ages, Updates on Protecting Panhe, Food, refreshments, and many more activities.

COMMUNITY HEALTH DAY

"HEALTH IN THE PARKS"

May is "California State Park Month" and California Citrus State Historic Park is joining the State-wide effort
to promote health and well-being. Join us in this "free" Community Health Day and learn about the various
healthy programs and activities that are available at the Park and in your nearby Community (IE: The Benefits of Citrus; Yoga;
Bird Watching; Healthy Dog Walking; Health Checks; Running; Fluting & Drumming; Art and more).

Besides Jon performing on his branch flutes, the day will include activities for children of all ages,
guided walks to our adjacent salt marsh, Salinas de San Pedro, and much, much more! Admission to the Fair and Aquarium,
Exploration Center, Aquatic Nursery and the Virginia Reid Moore Marine Research Library is FREE. The Aquarium will be
open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Beach parking is $1.00/hour for cars or catch the free parking and a
Cabrillo Beach shuttle from the lot at 22nd Street and Miner near the Marina terminal of the
Port of Los Angeles Waterfront Red Car Line, share a ride, walk or bike it! Help Us Celebrate the Earth!

Besides playing flute, Jon's solar powered generator and sound system
were used for press conferences and to recharge communication devices.
A solar powered microphone was lifted up to Julia Butterfly Hill, Joan Baez and John Quigley
